Man United Hero Patrick Dorgu Sidelined for 10 Weeks

Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury, bringing his recent rise in form to an abrupt halt.
According to Manchester United insider Laurie Whitwell, the Danish defender has been ruled out for up to 10 weeks after picking up the injury during United’s 3–2 victory over Arsenal at the weekend. Dorgu sustained the setback late in the match following an intense run down the flank.
The former Lecce player had earlier marked the game with a fine second-half goal that put United 2–1 ahead, continuing his impressive run in front of goal. However, after clutching his hamstring and remaining on the turf, he was eventually replaced by Benjamin Šeško in the 81st minute.
Dorgu’s strike against Arsenal was his second consecutive goal, having also found the net in United’s 2–0 win over city rivals Manchester City in the previous match. His recent performances had earned him praise from fans and pundits alike.
The defender’s resurgence has coincided with the appointment of Michael Carrick as interim head coach, with United recording back-to-back victories over Premier League title contenders in recent weeks.
Dorgu’s absence will be a setback for Carrick as he looks to maintain momentum, with the club expected to assess defensive options while the player begins his recovery.
