Davido marries Chioma in $3.7m Miami wedding

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma Rowland, sealed their union with a lavish white wedding in Miami, Florida, on Sunday, 10 August 2025.
The event, trending online under the hashtag #Chivido2025, was a grand celebration of love, luxury and emotional tributes, drawing attention from fans and celebrities across the globe.
Davido and Chioma’s journey to the altar has been closely followed since their engagement in March 2023.
The couple welcomed twins later that year in the United States and held their traditional wedding in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2024.
One of the most touching highlights of the Miami ceremony was Davido’s tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi.
The singer wore custom-made cufflinks engraved with his son’s image, a deeply personal gesture he shared with fans via Instagram.
In another grand display of affection, Davido surprised Chioma with a custom-made, factory-iced Richard Mille wristwatch worth USD300,000.
It was delivered by celebrity jeweller Benny Da Jeweller from New York.
The guest list featured an array of high-profile names, but the presence of Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, stole part of the spotlight.
Dressed in a stylish blue-black agbada, the billionaire was seen mingling warmly with guests. Davido posted a video of his appearance online.
The ceremony, reportedly costing USD3.7 million in cash, was described by Davido as “possibly the greatest white wedding ever witnessed in the history of mankind”.
The couple’s outfits, curated by top Nigerian and international designers, reflected a blend of cultural pride and global luxury.
