Delegates backing Dr Akoto tout his proposals as solution to Ghana’s problems

Some grassroot delegates in the Ashanti Region backing Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto’s candidature have described his campaign messages as the solution to Ghana’s problems.
They have therefore pledged to vote massively for him to become the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The delegates have equally urged other delegates across the country to vote for Dr. Akoto to lead NPP to victory in the 2024 presidential election.
In their view Dr. Akoto’s messages stands out among the lot and therefore deserves to be given the nod.
They contended that Dr. Akoto, a Cambridge University Scholar and Ghana’s longest serving Minister of Food and Agriculture in the 4th Republic demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that he has the solution to Ghana’s problems as well as the party members.
To them, the former two-term Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region Akoto’s message of using agriculture as the bedrock to reviving the West African nation’s ailing economy is a solid and comprehensive plan.
Dr. Akoto’s vision to reform the NPP by establishing party-owned businesses that offer employment opportunities to the party members while providing the needed financial resources to cushion the party activists is dear to their hearts.
The party activists made these observations during an interaction with Dr. Akoto at his Danyame residence in Kumasi following a resumption of his Ashanti Regional tour.
In a show of support, the party activists appealed to the aspirant to grant them permission to propagate his message to all delegates in and outside the Ashanti Region.
NPP Communication Officer for Atwima Mponua constituency, Albert Kwaku Asiedu, said Dr. Akoto appeals to the rank and file of the party and NPP will not have difficulty marketing him.
On her part, Kwadaso NPP Women’s Organizer Janet Awuah, told the gathering that she needed no permission to campaign for the aspirant since she believes in his abilities to revive Ghana and reform the NPP for all to benefit.
She urged the delegates to be motivated by Dr. Akoto’s message of hope and hit the ground running by spreading the message across the country.
Dr. Akoto, who was awe-struck by the cheering crowd in a brief remark permitted them to campaign for him.
He urged them to work assiduously and ensure that the Akoto brand comes top in all their doings.
The former Minister of Food and Agriculture further told the enthusiastic party activists to count on him to deliver victory for the party in the 2023 presidential election.
