GFA to Purchase 691 GH Cedis New FIFA World Cup Match Tickets for Black Stars “Die Hard” Supporters

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) would be purchasing FIFA’s new 60 USD (691 Ghana cedis) Supporter Entry Tier tickets for “die hard” Ghana Black Stars supporters to be able to attend the Black Stars 2026 FIFA World Cup matches.

FIFA has introduced a new ticket pricing category aimed at easing the cost burden for fans following their national teams at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

FIFA on Tuesday, December 16, confirmed that a Supporter Entry Tier has been created, with tickets priced at USD 60 each.

The new tier will be available for all 104 matches, including the final, and is specifically reserved for supporters of countries that have qualified for the tournament.

The initiative comes amid unprecedented demand, with FIFA revealing that 20 million ticket requests have already been submitted during the current Random Selection Draw sales phase. FIFA says the new pricing tier is designed to better support travelling fans and reward loyal supporters who closely follow their national teams.

Distribution of the Supporter Entry Tier tickets will be handled directly by the Participating Member Associations (PMAs). Each association will set its own eligibility rules and application process, with FIFA urging them to prioritise genuine fans with a strong connection to the national team.

FIFA also confirmed that 50 percent of each PMA’s ticket allocation will fall within the most affordable ranges. This includes the Supporter Value Tier, which accounts for 40 percent, and the new Supporter Entry Tier at 10 percent. The remaining tickets will be split evenly between the Supporter Standard and Supporter Premier tiers.

In addition, fans who apply through their PMA but whose teams fail to reach the knockout stage will have the administrative fee waived when refunds are processed.

The 2026 World Cup will be staged across Canada, Mexico and the United States from June 11 to July 19, marking the first 48-team edition of the tournament. The Random Selection Draw remains open until January 13, 2026, with FIFA stressing that the timing of applications does not affect the chances of success.
