I am confident of victory tomorrow – Dr Bawumia

Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, one of the leading contenders in the NPP Presidential Primaries, exudes confidence as the final stage of the race approaches, with only four candidates left in the competition.
In a recent interaction with journalists at his residence, Dr. Bawumia shared his campaign journey, campaign message, and his steadfast commitment to party unity.
The NPP Presidential Primaries, which began with a field of ten candidates, has seen Dr. Bawumia emerge as one of the top contenders.
He attributes his success to an intensive campaign that involved traveling across the country to engage with party delegates.
Dr. Bawumia’s campaign message revolves around several key pillars, including his unwavering commitment to the party, his track record as Vice-President, his vision for strengthening the party’s relationship with the government, and the importance of maintaining party unity post-election.
“I have brought my campaign, the visits to the NPP delegates in their constituencies, to an end,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
“Every constituency has been a home for me for the past 15 years, and for this particular campaign, my mission was simple; to let the delegates know why I represent the NPP’s best chance of breaking the 8 in next year’s presidential election, if I am elected the party’s flagbearer.”
During his campaign, Dr. Bawumia stressed the need for a dignified campaign that fosters unity and avoids rancor.
He made a concerted effort to maintain a respectful approach, free from insults and personal attacks.
Reflecting on his journey, Dr. Bawumia described it as both short and long but ultimately fulfilling. He expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation he has received from numerous individuals throughout the process.
As he reiterated throughout his interactions with delegates across the country, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his unwavering commitment to the unity of the NPP as the party’s flagbearer.
“We are a party of different people from different backgrounds with different preferences,” Dr. Bawumia noted. “But in our differences, we are indivisible.
With this in mind, I have been presenting a message that fosters unity, inspires hope and confidence, and positions the NPP as the best choice to lead Ghana.”
The NPP Presidential Primaries are scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, and the outcome will depend on the votes and support of party delegates.
The contest promises to be closely watched as the candidates vie for the opportunity to represent the NPP in the upcoming presidential election.
