Charles-Jesaja Herrmann, son of former Ghana player Charles Kwablan Akonnor, has joined Austrian second-tier side SKU Amstetten.
The 24-year-old joins the Austrian 2.Liga side from SV Waldhof Mannheim in Germany.
Herrmann is expected to bolster Amstetten’s attack for the upcoming season.
“Charles-Jesaja Herrmann from SV Waldhof Mannheim to SKU Ertl Glas Amstetten.
He will strengthen our attack, having played 21 games in the 3rd division last season, scoring three goals,” announced Amstetten following the capture of the forward.
Herrmann’s football journey began at Hannover 96, progressing through VfL Wolfsburg’s youth system and earning 26 caps for Germany’s junior national teams (U15 – U19).
He moved to KV Kortrijk in Belgium’s top division in 2021, then to NAC Breda in the Dutch second division, before joining Mannheim in 2023.
Despite representing Germany at youth levels, Herrmann remains eligible to play for Ghana at the international stage.
