Big blow: Salisu and Semenyo to miss South Korea friendly

‎The Black Stars of Ghana are facing a tough time with injuries piling up, as Mohammed Salisu and Antoine Semenyo are the latest to join the list of absent players.

‎Salisu, who plays for AS Monaco, has been confirmed to have a bilateral medial collateral ligament sprain, while Semenyo’s left anterior talo-fibula ligament sprain worsened during the match against Japan, forcing him to leave the game early.

‎These injuries come on top of the already depleted squad, with key players like Mo Kudus, Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, and Alexander Djiku missing the international window. Coach Otto Addo is left with 19 players for the friendly match against South Korea on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul.

‎Despite the setbacks, the remaining squad is determined to make the most of their time together, aiming to improve squad cohesion ahead of the 2026 World Cup in North America.
