2026 World Cup fever: nearly 2M tickets sold ahead of the final draw

Excitement continues to build ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Draw, with nearly two million tickets sold across the first two sales phases.

‎Fans from 212 countries and territories have secured seats, with the highest demand from the US, Canada, and Mexico, followed by England, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, and France.

‎FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated early buyers, reminding them the next application window opens on December 11, post-Final Draw in Washington DC. FIFA’s COO Heimo Schirgi noted the global buzz, adding the Mexico City opener is under 200 days away.

‎The third ticketing window (Random Selection Draw) opens December 11, closing January 13. Fans can apply for single-match tickets based on group-stage match-ups post-schedule release. Qualified nations’ supporters can apply for Participating Member Association tickets, subject to federation rules.

‎Hospitality packages (match tickets included) are available on FIFA’s site. FIFA warns fans to buy tickets only from official channels; a match ticket doesn’t guarantee host nation entry. US-bound supporters may benefit from FIFA’s Priority Appointment Scheduling System for visas.
