Prez. Mahama Begins Nationwide ‘Resetting Ghana’ Tour to Inspect Projects

President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a nationwide tour starting March 18 to inspect ongoing government projects and evaluate their progress across the country. The initiative, named the “Resetting Ghana Tour,” aims to bring government closer to citizens while providing firsthand updates on key national policies and development efforts.
The tour will kick off in the Bono Region, with the President joined by regional ministers, local government officials, and other stakeholders. During the visits, they will inspect project sites, assess performance, identify challenges, and explore ways to improve delivery. The exercise is designed to ensure that government policies translate into tangible outcomes for citizens.
Minister for Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, explained that the President is taking a more direct approach to governance by personally visiting project sites rather than relying solely on reports and briefings from ministers. The tour will also provide opportunities for engagement with grassroots communities, opinion leaders, traditional authorities, and other influential figures to better understand local concerns and priorities.
Officials say the nationwide exercise will cover multiple regions over the coming weeks, focusing on transparency, accountability, and enhanced service delivery. Citizens will have a chance to provide feedback on ongoing initiatives, allowing the government to measure the real impact of its policies and projects.
The “Resetting Ghana Tour” is part of a broader strategy to reset the country’s development agenda, ensuring that plans are effectively implemented and visible at the community level. The government hopes the initiative will strengthen public trust and demonstrate its commitment to responsive and inclusive governance.
Through these visits, President Mahama seeks to show that the administration is actively monitoring progress, identifying obstacles, and taking steps to address them. The tour emphasizes a hands-on approach to leadership, bringing decision-makers closer to the people they serve and reinforcing the message that development is a shared responsibility between government and citizens.
The “Resetting Ghana Tour” underscores the administration’s determination to maintain accountability, enhance citizen engagement, and ensure that development initiatives meet the needs and expectations of communities across the country.
