Christians don’t support their own – Piesie Esther

Ghanaian gospel artiste Piesie Esther has expressed concern about the challenges hindering the growth and advancement of the gospel industry.
According to her, one of the major obstacles is the lack of support from fellow Christians.
Piesie Esther emphasised that financial constraints and the absence of human support are key factors contributing to the struggles faced by gospel artistes.
She pointed out that many Christians fail to support each other’s initiatives, often preferring to attend programmes held on neutral grounds rather than supporting their own.
“It’s disheartening to see Christians not supporting each other. When a fellow Christian is hosting a programme, either in their church or elsewhere, many Christians don’t attend simply because it’s not their church,” the artiste said.
The gospel musician noted that Christians often show more enthusiasm and support for secular events, lavishing love and attention on the secular world while neglecting their own industry.
She cited the biblical phrase, “the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light” (Luke 16:8), emphasising the need for Christians to prioritise supporting and uplifting one another.
