Thomas Partey and Fatawu Issahaku latest to join Ghana camp ahead of AFCON qualifiers

England-based duo Thomas Partey and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku have joined the Black Stars camp in Accra ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

The team officially opened camp on Monday morning with Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon  Thomas-Asante, and Frederick Asare being the first to report.

Partey and Issahaku joined their teammates later in the day, and the rest of the invited players are expected to link up with the squad on Monday evening.

Otto Addo, who announced a 23-man squad for the games last Thursday, will oversee the first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium before the team travels to Kumasi on Tuesday.

The Black Stars will face Angola in their first group game at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday, September 5.

Following the Angola clash, the team will travel to Niger for their first away game, which will be played in Berkane, Morocco.

Coach Otto Addo is determined to secure victories in both matches as he aims to guide Ghana to a successful start in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
