Bawumia energises mammoth NPP walk during Kwahu Easter

The Kwahu Easter festivities witnessed a remarkable display of political fervor as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), led a mammoth walk that energized the atmosphere in Kwahu.

Thousands of attendees, comprising NPP loyalists and Kwahu natives, enthusiastically participated in this spirited event.

Accompanied by notable NPP stalwarts including National Chairman Stephen Ayesu Ntim, General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, and several Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State, Dr. Bawumia’s walk commenced from Bepong and gained momentum as it progressed to Mpraeso.

The event also saw the presence of flagbearer aspirants who participated in the recent NPP presidential primaries.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Vice-President Dr. Bawumia made a compelling case for his election as President, emphasizing his commitment to providing bold solutions for the country’s future.

Drawing a sharp contrast between his forward-looking approach and the perceived stagnancy of his opponent, former President John Mahama, Dr. Bawumia rallied support for his candidacy.

Highlighting his track record as Vice-President and his vision for the future, Dr. Bawumia outlined several key policy initiatives, including a new tax system, investment in technology and youth development, and reforms to the National Service Scheme.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to leveraging technology, such as the Ghana Card, to streamline administrative processes.

Dr. Bawumia warned against the potential reversal of flagship policies like the Free Senior High School initiative under different leadership, citing past decisions by Mahama such as the cancellation of allowances for teacher and nursing trainees.

He urged voters to consider whether Mahama is fit to lead the nation again.

Urging voters to entrust him with leadership, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his commitment to accountability and continuity, promising to seek re-election in 2028 and address the country’s challenges tirelessly.

He called on party members to conduct grassroots campaigns and outlined his administration’s vision for national progress, appealing to Ghanaians to support his candidacy based on his performance.

In conclusion, Dr. Bawumia rallied the rank and file of the NPP to work hard to secure victory in the 2024 presidential election and parliamentary majority, underlining the party’s determination to lead Ghana into a brighter future.
