It’s still there — Ghanaian TikToker Ananzo on Davido’s $5K gift
Ghanaian TikTok sensation and music promoter Ananzo Official has revealed that he has not yet spent the USD5,000 gifted to him by Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido.
The viral content creator, whose heartfelt rendition of Davido’s hit track ‘With You’ earned him international attention, recently shared his gratitude and future plans in an interview.
The now-famous video, filmed at a car wash in Takoradi, captured Ananzo passionately singing the song originally featuring Omah Lay.
It quickly gained traction across social media platforms, eventually catching Davido’s attention. The artist reposted the clip and publicly pledged a USD5,000 reward.
“God transformed Himself into Davido to bless me and my team. I have not touched the USD5,000 Davido gave me. It’s still there,” Ananzo said during the interview.
Though he confirmed receiving the funds through Davido’s team, he explained that he is waiting for the right time to reveal how he intends to use the money.
“It will come out in the media soon,” he hinted.
Since the unexpected gift, Ananzo’s online presence has soared. His TikTok following skyrocketed from 91,000 to over 600,000, with the viral video amassing more than 16 million views and two million likes. Yet, despite his meteoric rise, he remains grounded.
“I’m still working at the car wash. But I will keep pushing with my dream of promoting music,” Ananzo shared.
