Health and Fitness Coach advises corporate workers to prioritize their health

As part of efforts to achieve optimal physical fitness, Health and Fitness Coach Francis Addo has advised corporate workers to value their health more than their work.
He noted that workers must prioritize their health over their jobs because they can easily be replaced if they become indisposed.
“You can be very valuable at work, but when you break down, that is when you will see whether you are important or not,” he said.
He shared this during the Personal Development segment on “Zed in the Morning” under the topic “Achieving Optimal Physical Fitness: Practical Tips for a Healthier Lifestyle.”
Francis Addo stated that many corporate workers tend to make their work their entire focus, often neglecting their home, family, and friends.
He debunked the myth that specific fitness attire is necessary for working out, explaining that workers can exercise even at work with the right knowledge and approach.
Fitness Goals for Workers
He suggested that corporate workers should look at their work hours and prioritize early morning exercise before going to work.
“In 10 minutes, you can do a lot when it comes to fitness. You can practice push-ups, which is a full body workout, or squatting. What matters is that you need to sweat, and you are good to go,” he explained.
He stressed that workers have no excuse not to exercise, noting that even in bed, one can engage in physical activities.
Nutrition and Fitness
The Fitness Coah highlighted that physical fitness accounts for only 20% of overall wellness, while nutrition plays a 75% role, with the remaining 5% influenced by our environment.
He advised reducing the intake of carbonated soft drinks, eventually eliminating them altogether. He encouraged individuals to self-motivate and start their fitness journey, ensuring they engage in physical activities in every aspect of their lives to stay fit.
Barriers to Physical Fitness
He mentioned that the only barrier to fitness is an individual’s mindset.
“By adopting a proactive and positive attitude towards health, corporate workers can achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle”.
He stated the importance of rest, noting that every individual should aim for eight to nine hours of sleep and advised lighter meals after 6 PM.
For ages 18-35, he recommended drinking warm water, with or without lime, and engaging in exercises like jumping, high knees, or walking aerobics.
For people aged 45-70, walking aerobics is particularly beneficial.
