Karela United appoints Jimmy Cobblah as new head coach

Tamale-based Karela United have appointed trainer Jimmy James Cobblah as their new head coach.
Cobblah was announced as the new coach after signing a two-year contract to replace Abubakari Damba.
“We are excited to announce the signing of Jimmy James Cobblah as our head coach on a two-year contract! Welcome to the club, coach Cobblah, as we gear up for an exciting season ahead,” Karela United posted on their official X account.
The appointment of Cobblah follows the departure of coach Damba, who parted ways with the club after successfully guiding Karela United to safety in the 2023/24 league season.
Under Damba’s leadership, the team secured two consecutive wins in their final matches, finishing 12th in the league standings.
Meanwhile, Cobblah brings enormous experience to Karela United, having previously managed teams such as Inter Allies and Great Olympics.
His extensive background in Ghanaian football is expected to be a significant asset as he takes on the challenge of leading Karela United in the upcoming season.
