Tema: 39 busted for cybercrime at Adom City Estate

Thirty-nine suspects have been arrested in a joint operation by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at Adom City Estate, Tema Community 25, Greater Accra.
The early-morning raid on Thursday, 21 August, followed weeks of intelligence-led surveillance targeting a suspected cyber fraud hub. Among those arrested were three minors and a woman believed to be an escort linked to one of the alleged ringleaders.
Security officers stormed the premises under heavy guard, seizing laptops, mobile devices and other digital tools for forensic analysis.
All suspects are currently in custody and are being transferred to CID Headquarters in Accra for profiling and further interrogation.
Officials say the clampdown is part of a national strategy to combat online fraud, financial scams and cyber-enabled crimes affecting individuals and institutions across Ghana.
The CSA has urged the public to remain alert to suspicious online behaviour, while the CID has assured that due process will be followed, especially in handling the cases involving minors.
