Lil Win honored as best actor in Africa at ‘Captain Ibrahim Traoré’ premiere

Kumawood star Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, received a prestigious honor as Best Actor in Africa during the premiere of his latest film titled ‘Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero’ at the SG Mall in Kumasi.
The award was presented by His Excellency David Kabré, Burkina Faso’s Ambassador to Ghana, in recognition of Lil Win’s powerful portrayal of Burkinabe revolutionary Captain Ibrahim Traore.
The event drew a high-profile audience that included diplomats, filmmakers, and cinema lovers, all celebrating the film’s Pan-African essence.
Shot in collaboration with Ghanaian and Burkinabe creatives, ‘Captain Ibrahim Traore’ has been praised for its compelling narrative and cultural significance.
Ambassador Kabré lauded Lil Win’s performance as both “outstanding” and “unifying,” and stressed the importance of African artists sharing stories that resonate across borders.
“By honoring Lil Win as Best Actor in Africa, we celebrate not just his talent, but the power of cinema to connect our people,” the ambassador said.
