Ghana bounce back to keep Beach Soccer AFCON hopes alive

The Black Sharks of Ghana avoided an early return home from the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations after thumping Tanzania 10-3 in the final Group A game.
Having lost to host Egypt and Morocco in their first two games, all hopes were lost but the team produced a blistering performance to blow apart Tanzania and prolong their stay in the competition.
A quadruple from Alexander Adjei and a hat-trick from Wise Nyamadi inspired the team to victory on Tuesday morning.
Nyamadi opened the scoring early in the game before Adjei doubled the advantage with goalkeeper Robert Nyadedzor and Richard Osai giving Ghana a healthy 4-0 lead from the first quarter.
Tanzania pulled one back after the break but Nyamadi extended the advantage in a very competitive second period. The East African reduced the deficit again before Adjei completed his hat-trick with two more goals.
He finished the period with his fourth as Ghana boost an 8-2 lead. In the final period, Nyamadi and Nyadedzor scored to make it ten for Ghana.
There was a late consolation for Tanzania but it was not enough for any comeback. Ghana will face the third-placed team in Group B as the tournament progresses.
