Motorcyclist shot, robbed in daylight at East Legon
A man was shot in the leg and robbed of an undisclosed sum of money at East Legon near the MTN office on Monday, 30 June 2025, around noon.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim had just withdrawn the money from a bank and was riding a motorcycle when two men on another motorbike intercepted him.
One of the assailants fired gunshots, hitting the victim in the leg and causing him to fall off his bike.
“There were two men, one had a gun, and the other was riding the motorbike. As soon as they got here, they fired at the man,” an eyewitness told Zed FM’s reporter Solomon Nartey.
Despite being injured, the victim attempted to resist the robbers.
However, they managed to take the cash and fled the scene on a BMW MT-07 motorbike.
A passing driver came to the victim’s aid and helped transport him to the hospital.
The police arrived at the scene and took the victim’s motorbike to the station to commence investigations.
