18-year-old arrested for stealing three tricycles worth GH ₵74,000 in Bono Region

The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested an 18-year-old, Fuseini Ibrahim, for allegedly stealing three unregistered Apsonic tricycles valued at GHS74,000.

The suspect was apprehended on 14 August 2025 at Dumasua in the Sunyani West Municipality and is currently in police custody.

A statement signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police Command, and released to the media, indicated that three accomplices, identified only as Musa, Baba and Malik Mustapha, remain at large.

According to the police, the suspects allegedly stole the tricycles from Drobo in the Jaman South Municipality.

They were later intercepted at the Dumasua checkpoint, where Ibrahim was arrested. However, the other three suspects managed to escape.

The statement confirmed that all three tricycles have since been retrieved.

Meanwhile, police have mounted a manhunt to track down the remaining suspects.
