Man found dead with gunshot wounds near Kalba
A man has been found dead with gunshot wounds near Kalba, a suburb of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District in the Savannah Region.
The Savannah Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Grace Odurowaa Boateng, confirmed the incident in an interview with the media on Monday, 8 September 2025.
Chief Inspector Boateng said police received a report of a body discovered in the bush and quickly dispatched a team to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team found a male adult lying dead with gunshot wounds. The remains have since been deposited at the St Anne’s Catholic Hospital morgue in Damongo,” she stated.
Chief Inspector Boateng added that investigations are underway to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
