William Dankyi completes move to Aduana FC

Ghana Premier League outfit Aduana FC have announced the signing of defender William Dankyi ahead of the 2025/26 football campaign.

Dankyi, considered one of the most experienced left-backs on the local scene, joins the Fire Boys from Bibiani Goldstars on a two-year deal, with an option to extend for an additional year.

The former Hearts of Oak defender played a pivotal role last season, helping Goldstars secure their first-ever Ghana Premier League title, dethroning Samartex 1996.

The two-time Premier League champions are undertaking an aggressive squad overhaul following an inconsistent performance last season. Aduana FC finished ninth on the league table in the 2024/25 campaign, prompting significant reinforcement ahead of the new season.

“Aduana FC is excited to announce the signing of dynamic left-back William Dankyi from Bibiani Goldstars SC. He joins the Fire Boys on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for one more season,” the club wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

With his wealth of experience in the local league, Dankyi is expected to play a key role for the Fire Boys in the upcoming campaign.

He joins Gregory Obeng Sekyere, Mezack Afriyie, Godfred Boakye, Patrick Mensah, Stephen Kwakye, and others as part of the club’s latest acquisitions this summer.
