Trump Media to fundraise $3bn to expand cryptocurrency investments

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the company behind the social media platform Truth Social, is reportedly planning to raise $3 billion to invest in cryptocurrencies. The company is aiming to secure $2 billion in new equity financing and $1 billion through the sale of convertible bonds.
If finalized, the move would mark a significant expansion of TMTG’s presence in the digital asset sector. The Trump family-led company has increasingly aligned itself with cryptocurrency markets in recent months.
Although details of the fundraising are not yet confirmed and are subject to change, the plan reportedly signals a deepening interest in blockchain and digital finance by the group.
TMTG has not officially confirmed the funding strategy. In a statement released following reports on the plan, the company dismissed the claims without providing further details.
Earlier this year, the company launched Truth.fi, a fintech platform aimed at offering access to Bitcoin, energy-based investment products, and other financial instruments. In March, TMTG announced a partnership with trading platform Crypto.com to provide several exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tied to digital assets.
The Trump family has also grown more active in the cryptocurrency space. Recent initiatives include the launch of NFT trading cards, the introduction of meme coins bearing the TRUMP and MELANIA tickers, and support for a decentralized finance project called World Liberty Financial. Last week, President Donald Trump hosted a private dinner with over 200 investors backing the Trump meme coin project. The event drew widespread attention and criticism from the public and political observers.
